My name is Dr. James D. Rethaber, Ph.D., and I am running for the at-large position on the Wilson Memorial Hospital Board. I eagerly await the opportunity to serve the Wilson County community.

I have 12 years of experience as an allied health-care professional, with a majority of those years spent caring for and preventing sports/orthopedic-related injuries within a 90-mile radius of San Antonio. Currently, I am the director of ergonomics for a consulting firm in San Antonio.

I have been fortunate in my career to work with great doctors, allied health-care staff, and administrators in hospitals/clinics ranging from small, rural areas to large, metropolitan areas. I have seen what has worked and have learned from what has not.

I have many goals for this hospital, but my main emphasis is on customer care/service and quality doctor/allied health-care staff recruitment. I do not want this hospital to be one of the last buildings you see in the rear-view mirror while driving to San Antonio for your medical needs.

It would be my honor to earn your vote in the May 11 election.

To learn more, please find me on Facebook at: “Dr. Rethaber for Hospital Board.”
