A lifelong resident of Wilson County, I graduated from Floresville High School and attended Texas Lutheran College. I married my high school sweetheart, Janet Tatum; we have been married for 40 years. We have two children, Jason and Melissa, a daughter-in-law, Amanda, and a grandson, Jack; all live in Wilson County.

I am a managing partner for Modern Woodmen of America and have worked in the insurance and financial services business for the past 32 years. I have won many company and industry awards over the years. I am the president-elect of the San Antonio Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

I have been involved for the past five years with the Consolata Healthcare Foundation working with Connally Memorial Medical Center. I have served as president for the past three years.

I recognize the challenges and opportunities that face our hospital. We need the best health care possible. The concerns of the citizens will be my priority. I know what those concerns are, having lived and worked in this county all my life. I run a small business and understand what it takes to achieve excellence while also watching the bottom line.
