STOCKDALE -- A baseball field in Stockdale will get a new name this weekend, and will serve as a memorial to a little boy taken from his family and community far too soon.
On Sunday, April 28, the Central Park Baseball Field in Stockdale will be dedicated to the memory of Bryce Porter Tomerlin, a 2-year-old who loved T-ball, and whose grandfather, Hubert Tomerlin, helped establish the Stockdale Little League. Bryce passed away in February.
The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m., and will be followed by a pair of T-ball games and a prize drawing. Everyone is invited to attend.
