Poth ISD invites GT nominations
The Poth Independent School District is accepting nominations for the Gifted and Talented program for students in grades 1-12 from parents, educators, and community members. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, May 3.
The selection of students for the gifted and talented program is based upon criteria including general intellectual ability as measured through a school ability test, teacher rating scales, and achievement tests in some or all of the core areas of mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts.
A committee comprised of trained administrators and teachers will review scores to determine the placement into the gifted and talented program and provide written communication to the parents about that placement.
Forms are available at each campus office.
