Compared to last week: Hay prices generally steady. Trade continues fairly slow with limited buyer demand which is typical this time of year with producers getting ready to bale the new crop. New crop prices continue to be negotiated between the buyers and sellers. Weather in the Panhandle, North, and Central Texas has been much like a roller coaster with warmer temperatures followed by hard freezes. East, Southeast, and parts of North Texas received rain however most of the state remains in dry conditions. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted. . . .
