Falls City’s FFA Milk Quality Products Judging team teams competed in the state contest April 18 in Stephenville after their first-place finish in Area X FFA Career Development Events April 11 in Kingsville. Two other teams -- the Entomology Team and the Ag Sales Team -- also qualified for state competition after each placing fourth in area competition.

Four members of the first-place Milk Quality Products Judging Team placed among the top ten individually with 100 individuals competing on 22 teams.

Jennifer Kotara led the way by placing first individually, followed by Teree Jendrusch, second; Cody Jendrusch, fifth; and Quincey Olenick, ninth. Other team members include Tyler Moore and alternates Jonathan Sekula, Courtney Witte, and Kayla Purcell.

Seventy-two individuals competing on 17 teams competed in the entomology contest.

Katy Wiatrek and Katherine Kilcrease placed fifth- and ninth-place individually on the area fourth-place team. Other team members are Chloe Wilson, Jacob Frazier, Dylan Cheatham, and alternates Shelby Elkins, Travis Opiela, and Kalin Sittler. The team competed at state April 20 in Lubbock.

Tiffany Dziuk led the way for the fourth-place Ag Sales team by placing 10th individually among the 30 individuals competing on eight teams. Hailee Kowalik, Kelsey Labus, and Taylor Moy Jr. will also join Tiffany as they compete in state competition May 3 in Huntsville.

Also competing in area competition were the Poultry Judging and Livestock Judging teams.

Twenty-seven teams competed in the Poultry Judging contest with 135 individuals competing. Team members include Tessa Jendrusch, Grace Dzuik, Shianne Brysch, Alyssa Dziuk, and Madison Brysch (alternate).

Competition was swift with 62 teams competing in the Livestock Judging contest with 390 individuals giving their all. Members of the Falls City 19th-place team are Luke Jimerson, Royce Leonhardt, Kolton Pollok, Conner Jendrusch, and alternates Jake Dziuk, Travis Glover, Jacob Pruski, and William Stolle.
