1963-2013

Beloved daughter and sister, Diane “Pookie” Louise Kopecki, 49, left this life to join our Lord on Friday, April 12, 2013. She was born on May 24, 1963, to German and Edna Kopecki.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Bonewitz; and her niece, Kelli Kopecki.

Diane is survived by her parents, who will deeply miss their little angel. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael Kopecki and wife Liz and David Kopecki and wife Tammie; her sisters, Darlene Ciomperlik and husband Michael, Natalie Simon and husband Ray, and Linda Dugie and husband Ross; her brother-in-law, James Bonewitz; and numerous nephews and nieces. Diane’s extended family at the San Antonio State School in San Antonio, Texas, also mourns the loss of their beloved friend.

Diane touched the lives of so many people with her beauty and the manner in which she carried the crosses of this earthly life. We rejoice with her now as she laughs and dances with the heavenly angels in the presence of our Lord. We love and miss you, Diane, her family said.

Visitation was held Monday, April 15, from 6-8 p.m. in St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in San Antonio, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Kosciusko.
