ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

1925-2013

Theofil F. Strzelczyk passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, after a short battle with leukemia. He was born on Feb. 15,1925, to Joe and Clara (Ploch) Strzelczyk.

Theo proudly served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He retired from the Baptist Memorial Hospital after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Joe Strzelczyk Jr.

Theo is survived by his longtime loving best friend, Lorene Haecker; sisters Loly Bednorz and Rosemary Appelt and husband Royce; brothers Buster Strzelczyk and wife Betty and Gilbert Strzcelczyk and wife Frances; sister-in-law Dorothy Strzelczyk; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews; and many good friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29, from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas.

A Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig.

Interment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig.

Serving as pallbearers were Joel, Karl, Robert, Mike, and Todd Strzelczyk, and Jimmy Bednorz.
