The annual Miss La Vernia Scholarship Pageant will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 7 p.m. in the La Vernia High School Auditorium at 195 Bluebonnet Road in La Vernia. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Each year, the La Vernia Lions Club sponsors a scholarship pageant for deserving young ladies in the area. Beyond talent and beauty, the Miss La Vernia Scholarship Pageant represents the ideals of our community.

The Lions Club teaches and encourages healthy living, self-confidence, creative accomplishment, community service, and the pursuit of scholastic achievement among young ladies. The goal is to inspire, motivate, and lift young ladies to the realization that they are strong, independent, capable people who can accomplish anything.

Admission will be $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free for preschoolers.

For more information, contact Alycia Tretta at 210-865-4808 or atretta@lavernia.net.
