The Bids for Kids fund-raiser is set for Saturday, May 4, in the Panna Maria Diner in Panna Maria.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with a barbecued beef and fried chicken dinner starting at 6 p.m. A live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. and a prize drawing will also be held. Meal tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.

Bids for Kids, a nonprofit formed in 1994 to promote participation and help participants in need in the Karnes County Youth Show, is proving it is still dedicated to supporting the local youth. Now in its 19th year, Bids for Kids has raised and spent more than $247,000 on youth for projects shown at the county show. Bids for Kids is proud to have been able to raise more than $24,000, helping more than 60 individuals from the various towns at the 2013 Karnes County Youth Show.

To donate prizes for the auction or for more information, contact Marlin Moczygemba at 210-912-4262 or Cynthia Moy at 210-827-2836.
