Students receive Hardin-Simmons University scholarships

ABILENE -- A total of $121,375 in scholarships was awarded to 69 students in the Irvin School of Education at Hardin-Simmons University. Local students who received the scholarships during the April 8 ceremony were:

•Brandon Mikolajczyk of Floresville -- Kenneth D. Lambert Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Education.

•Natalie Butter of Pleasanton -- Glen and Virginia R. Burroughs Endowed Scholarship.

Students receiving the scholarships are preparing for careers in teaching, athletic training and sports medicine, and fitness and sports sciences.
