Betty Jane Clark, 70, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, in La Vernia, Texas. She was born June 4, 1942, in San Antonio, the daughter of Johnny and Ruby Hester.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin baby sister, Ruby Jean Hester; and her brother, Douglas Hester.

Betty is survived by her long-time fiancé, Anton “Tony” Svoboda of Floresville; her sons, Chad Clark and Kiley Clark and wife Diane, all of Floresville; her granddaughters, Kayla, Autumn, Marah, Charley, and Madison Clark, all of Floresville; her great-grandson, Ethan Rodriguez of Floresville; her sister-in-law, Patsy Hester of La Vernia; her niece, Shaleen Parker and husband J.D. of La Vernia; her nephew, Doug Hester and wife Cheryl of La Vernia; the children and grandchildren of Tony Svoboda; and numerous friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 7, at 6 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Gordon Lindley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dewville Cemetery, located near Nixon in Gonzales County.

Memorials made be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777.
