Business moves to industrial park
STOCKDALE -- The Stockdale Industrial Park soon will have another tenant after a temporary lease was approved by the Stockdale Economic Development Corp. (SEDC) with Fox Chapel Oilfield Services of Pleasanton.
According to SEDC Secretary-Treasurer Gary West after the April 30 meeting, the directors met in executive session to discuss pending real estate possibilities.
After reconvening into regular session, the directors approved a temporary lease with Fox Chapel Oilfield Services of 4.32 acres in the industrial park. City Manager Banks Akin and Stockdale EDC President Frank Bain Jr. will continue negotiations for a long-term lease or a lease to purchase agreement with this company, West added.
The second posted agenda item, the sale of a tract of land to Stockdale Truck Service, was tabled, since no representative from the company was present.
Stockdale EDC April 30 called meeting. In attendance: Directors Frank Bain Jr., Polly Stryker, Gary West, L.H. West, Ginger Coleman, J.C. Hrubetz, and Roger Armstrong; and Stockdale City Manager Banks Akin.
