Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.
The Floresville Independent School District is accepting applications for District Wide Custodian Positions, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. shift. The Wilson County News invites all the romantics out there to share their classic, one-of-a-kind love story for a chance to win a romantic getaway with a two-night stay in the Emily Morgan Hotel in San Antonio.

The Love Story Contest entries should portray how you and your spouse (spouse-to-be) met, fell in love, etc. It can be serious, funny, or romantic ... you’re the author.

Entries should be printed or typed and include your name, mailing address, and daytime phone number at the top of the page. Enclose a photo of you and your sweetheart and mail it to the Wilson County News, 1012 C. Street, Floresville, TX 78114, or email to reader@wcn-online.com and put WCN Love Story in the subject line. Be sure to include address and phone number with email entries, and include photo as an attachment.

First prize will be awarded a two-night stay at the Emily Morgan Hotel. The second place winner will receive a $50 gift card to Rita’s On the River in San Antonio.

Story deadline is Friday, May 31. Participants must be 18 years or older to enter.
