Join the Tex Hill Wing on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as it pays tribute to the American Volunteer Group -- The Flying Tigers at the South Texas Regional Airport. The airport is located at 700 Vanderberg in Hondo (29 miles west of San Antonio).

Patrons will enjoy music, a carnival, and food vendors, noisy airplanes, and will even have an opportunity to take a ride on a World War II bomber. Gates will open at 9 a.m. with the opening ceremony at 10 a.m. to include a U.S. Air Force fly-by with 31 World War II birds, and music by the Air Force Band.
