The Beeville Art Museum at 401 E. Fannin in Beeville will host a solo exhibition of works by landscape artist Sylvia Benitez from Saturday, May 18, through Thursday, July 18. The exhibition, “Climb Every Mountain,” will feature her quietly luminous paintings that according to the artist were “inspired by the light, color, and feel of the South Texas landscape.”

A nationally acclaimed artist, Benitez has received numerous honors over the years with her paintings and sculptural work displayed in museums, sculpture parks, and galleries throughout the United States.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
