A member of Floresville High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) has returned home victorious after competing at the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla. Senior Albert Saenz competed in Prepared Speech and clinched the first-place spot as the national champion.

This final win at the national level makes a complete first-place sweep for Albert at all levels, including regional, state, and national competitions. Students from approximately 30 states competed at the national conference, with the top three state winners competing in each event. Albert received the highest score of all the state competitors in Prepared Speech to take home the champion first-place trophy.

Also competing at the national competition in Human Resource Management was Jaime Kortum, who placed first as the state champion. Albert, Jaime, and their advisor, Rhea Nell Rogers, along with Assistant Principal Marcia Gonzales, joined more than 5,000 members and advisors from across the United States for the National Leadership Conference.

Congratulations to Albert, Jaime, and the Floresville High School BPA!
