CORPUS CHRISTI -- The Texas Rural Leadership Program will host a leadership conference Monday, June 10, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Omni Bayfront Hotel in Corpus Christi, said program coordinators.

Conference registration will be from 8-8:30 a.m., followed by the introductory presentation “Approaching Leadership Today” and various breakout sessions.

Program participants include business owners and employees, chambers of commerce, city and county officials, educators and administrators, economic developers, nonprofits, church groups, work-force developers, and retirees.

Conference breakout sessions will address communicating with decision makers, identifying community assets, building a shared vision, and encouraging community engagement.

Cost is $75 for registration received by Saturday, June 1, and $90 for registration received after that date. There is an additional $5 cost for county judges and Commissioners Association of Texas members seeking continuing education credit for conference attendance.

Make checks payable to Texas Rural Leadership Program and mail to: TRLP, Attn: Lynn White, 5605 Polo Road, College Station, TX 77845.

Registration information, as well as more information on the Texas Rural Leadership Program, is available at http://www.trlp.org. For additional information, contact Dr. Elaine Fries, Texas Rural Leadership Program board member, at 361-265-9203 or e-fries@tamu.edu.
