FLORESVILLE -- Police here are asking the public for information after a couple allegedly stole a video surveillance system May 9 from the Walmart Supercenter on U.S. 181 here.

According to Detective Jesse Gutierrez of the Floresville Police Department, a male and female went into the electronics section and took a video surveillance system off the shelf. They then went into the garden center and left the item against a fence. On May 10, store personnel discovered that the fence had been cut.

The two suspects face charges of criminal mischief worth more than $500 but less than $1,500 and theft worth more than $50 but less than $500.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Floresville Police Department at 830-393-4055. Anonymous tips, which are eligible for cash rewards if they result in an arrest, can be furnished to Crime Stoppers of Wilson County at 830-393-INFO (4636) or

I was at Wal-Mart tonight and saw Floresville P.D arrest two guys for stealing computers. They were arrested when throwing the computers in the trunk of thier car. Do the crime do the time!!!

Shame the police department can't charge an inconvenience fee for all of these shoplifting cases. Wally World needs to bite the bullet and hire some store security.

Once the thieves know your are an easy target,, they keep coming. The bad part about this is by wal mart being an easy target, it encourages the bad folks to come and hit other local businesses... Keep your eyes open !!!
