Floresville High School’s May female student of the month is Molly Morkovsky, the 18-year-old daughter of Shelley and Russell Morkovsky.

Molly is a member in good standing with the FHS chapter of the National Honor Society and has been named to the A-Honor Roll. As a member of Link Crew, Molly serves as a peer mentor to incoming freshmen to assist them in making a smooth transition into high school. This year she also served as Major for the FHS Tigerettes Dance team.

Molly is also active in her community and church and recently participated in the Sacred Heart ACTS Retreat.

Upon graduation in June, Molly plans to attend Texas A&M University where she will major in landscape architecture.

The male student of the month is Hugo Tijerina. Hugo is the 17-year-old son of Adrianna Morquecho and Pedro Tijerina.

Hugo is a member in good standing with the National Honor Society. As a member of the Mighty Tiger Band, Hugo was named to the Regional Band as a sophomore and junior and was named the Brass Lieutenant and section leader for three years. He was also on the varsity soccer team his sophomore year.

Hugo is also active at his church where he has attended ACTS retreats with both Sacred Heart Church and St. Anthony’s Church. Hugo was also a member of the FHS Friends of Rachel Club.

Upon graduation in June, Hugo plans to attend Texas A&M University where he will major in civil engineering.
