Offer condolences


Ruperto Robles, 82, of Leming, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, in San Antonio. He was born March 9, 1931, to Pablo and Pilar Robles.

Ruperto was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Chon, Ancieto, and Amelio Robles; sister Pauline Robles; nephew David Sorola; niece Gloria Fernandez; in-laws Jose and Josefina Caballero; and brothers-in-law Esteban Arocha and Louis Sorola.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Connie Robles of Leming; son James Robles and wife Laura of Pleasanton; daughters Irma Reyna and husband Roy of La Vernia and Becky Llamas and husband Danny of Pleasanton; brother Evaristo Robles and wife Rose of San Antonio; sisters Rosa Olivarez and husband Louis, Beatrice Dominguez and husband Juan, and Janie Arocha, all of San Antonio, and Christina Sorola of Leming; grandchildren Steven Llamas and wife KJ, Elisa Reyna, Danielle Llamas, and James Preston Robles; great-grandson Zakaria Llamas; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, compadres, and godchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 28, from 2-9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in his pride and joy -- his parish -- Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Leming.

Interment followed in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Leming.

Serving as pallbearers were James Robles, Roy Reyna, Danny Llamas, Steven Llamas, Elisa Reyna, and Danielle Llamas.
