Offer condolences


Meredith Wayne Richardson, 69, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013. He was born Oct. 13, 1943, in Shreveport, La., to Marvin Doyle and Marie (Ramsey) Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Marie and Ward Benoit; and his wife, Barbara (O’Quinn) Richardson.

Meredith is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Braddy and husband Ronald of La Vernia and Meredith “Colleen” Guerrero and husband Rene of Freer; and his sons, Ronald Richardson and wife Karina of Laredo, Michael Richardson of La Vernia, and Thomas “TJ” Richardson of La Vernia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Cassandra and Samantha Braddy of La Vernia, Tami and Kimberlee Guerrero of Freer, and Vivian, Santos, Alyssa, Tyler, and Barbara Richardson, all of Laredo; his great-grandchildren, J.P. and Jaquay; his brother, Tommy Richardson and wife Dawn; his sisters, Helen Bourcier and husband Chris and Ann Allen and husband Al; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

A funeral service was held Monday, June 3, at 6 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, with Pastor Joel Odom officiating.

Interment was held Tuesday at noon in the Guedry Cemetery in Batson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Freer Volunteer Fire Department, 402 S. Main Street, Freer, TX 78357.
