FORT WORTH -- Cattle producers from Texas and Oklahoma will gather Monday through Wednesday, June 10-12, in San Antonio for the 2013 Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association summer meeting. The meeting will be at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa located at 9800 Hyatt Resort Drive.

House Speaker Joe Straus and State Rep. Dan Branch will address the group Wednesday, June 12. Straus and Branch will brief cattle raisers on actions taken during the 83rd Texas Legislative Session.

General briefing sessions will cover a variety of topics including the changing infrastructure of the beef industry due to drought, the implementation of the state’s water plan, and an update on endangered species in Texas and how landowners can protect themselves.
