ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Jacob M. Pais Jr., born April 20, 1955, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2013, at the age of 58.

Jacob was a native and longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas, and lived in the Floresville area for eight years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lexi Ann Pais.

Jacob is survived by daughter Henriette Flores and husband Jesse; son Jacob Pais III and fiancée Susan Stephen; grandchildren Eden Pais Flores, Gideon Pais Flores, and Lexi D. Flores; sister Josephine Pais Vasquez and husband Gonzalo Vasquez Jr.; niece and nephew Elizabeth Lee and husband Curtis and Gonzalo Vasquez III and fiancée Ida Saucedo; and great-nieces Emberlynn Lee, Lola Lee, and Abby Pais Lee.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 10, from 6-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Interment followed in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
