Sue Bosanko Rhoads, 74, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013. She was born on Sept. 21, 1938, in Denver, Colo., to Alonzo Charles and Myrtle Idora (Lorenz) Bosanko.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband Amos Leo Rhoads Sr.; son Charles Clyde Rhoads; and brothers John Alfred Bosanko, Thomas Bosanko, and Dan Bosanko.

Sue is survived by her sons, Amos Leo Rhoads Jr. and wife Danette, Lonnie Rhoads and wife Donna, and Michael Rhoads and wife Vicky, all of La Vernia; grandchildren Calvin, Jason, Kristie, Shawn, Russell, Kyle, Jennifer, Becca, and Amy; 15 great-grandchildren; brother Lawrence “Butch” Bosanko and wife Margie of Stockdale; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 11, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in La Vernia with Pastor David Gayle to officiate.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wilson County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Fund, 201 Crews St., La Vernia, TX 78121.
