Roberta Joyce Cole passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013, in Floresville at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 8 days. She was born on Oct. 28, 1931, in Nixon, Texas, to Jessie R. and Jewel Allison Worthington.

Roberta was a former resident of Smiley and a resident of Floresville for a short time. She was a member of the Smiley First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Frank Worthington and Jerry Worthington; and sister Jewel Adkins.

Roberta is survived by her sister-in-law, Genevieve Worthington of Floresville; niece Wanda Jean Reid of Floresville; great-nephew Justin Steenken of Floresville; and a host of friends.

A private family visitation was held in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A graveside funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9, at 2 p.m. in the Bundick Cemetery in Smiley.
