James and Leysa Pavliska of Floresville, Texas, are thrilled to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lacey Kristen, to Drew Braxton Briggs, the son of Catherine Briggs and the late Dale Briggs.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Margaret Teltschik of Floresville and the late Wilbert Teltschik, and the late Joe and Pauline Pavliska, formerly of Floresville.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Geraldine Chevreaux.

Lacey was born and raised in Floresville and graduated from Floresville High School in 1998. After high school she attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, where she eventually met the love her life, Drew. Lacey graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2002 and is currently the director of accounting, internal audit, and process improvement at Pioneer Natural Resources in Las Colinas.

Drew hails from Trophy Club, Texas, and graduated from Northwest High School in 2003. Following a collegiate rodeo career at Weatherford College, Drew made his way to SMU, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in markets and culture. He is currently the leasing director for Milestone Management in Dallas.

Lacey and Drew are eagerly planning their fall wedding set for Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in the First Baptist Church in Floresville, officiated by Brother Mike Clements.
