Jubilee to honor Ricky Neill

The Stockdale Chamber of Commerce will dedicate the 69th annual Watermelon Jubilee to Richard Lee “Ricky” Neill.

Ricky and his wife, Susan, are longtime residents of Stockdale. Ricky graduated from Stockdale High School and Texas A&I University. He was a dedicated teacher and taught agriculture for over 25 years. Nine of those years were in Stockdale.

Ricky and Susan have two children, Lance and Macie. Lance and wife, Robin, have one child, Richard Lee Neill II.

Recently honored by the Wilson County Junior Livestock Show for his service and dedication to the youth of Wilson County, Ricky, has been involved with the stock show and FFA programs for many years. The students of Stockdale High School recently dedicated their annual HOPE day in honor of Ricky.

Ricky and his family were also active in the Chamber of Commerce for several years. His sister, Janet, was Queen Melone XXXII and his daughter, Macie, was Queen Melone LVI.

The Stockdale Chamber of Commerce is proud to dedicate the 69th annual Watermelon Jubilee to Ricky Neill. The formal dedication will take place during the rodeo preshow activities on Friday, June 14 at 7 p.m.
