Veterans outreach event in SA

The South Texas Veterans Health Care System Chaplain Service will hold a Veteran Community Outreach Initiative event on Wednesday, June 26, from 7- 9:15 p.m. in the main auditorium (room 222) of the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital at 7400 Merton Minter in San Antonio.

The initiative is geared toward community clergy, DOD chaplains, VA chaplains, and anyone interested in the spiritual well-being of service members and veterans. Guest speaker Dr. Ed Tick, author of War and the Soul, will address ancient and cross-cultural warrior traditions that can assist returning service members and veterans in healing from the effects of war.

The event is free; however, registration is required. To register, call 210-617-5300, ext. 15439.
