“I’m pretty diverse, but the hour of TV that I really love are ‘Sons of Anarchy,’ ‘Parenthood,’ believe it or not. Being a dad, I totally watch that show, and I’m like, ‘God, I get every ... second of it.’ But I watch ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Mad Men,’ ‘Homeland.’ I like to keep track of all the shows that I think ‘Magic City’ belongs in that category with. There are like five or 10 shows that I think are really great shows that have very talented showrunners and writers and actors, and I think that our show is kind of comparable to these shows ... so I keep track of those.”
