SEGUIN -- Melanie Reed, a graduate of Floresville High School, was recently awarded the Pacesetter Award for College Excellence (PACE), one of Texas Lutheran University’s most prestigious academic scholarships.

PACE is a scholarship ranging from $15,000 per year up to full tuition. Invitations to participate in the scholarship competition were extended to students who met stringent academic requirements.

Melanie is the daughter of Randall Reed and Robin Reed.
