1932-2013

Hiram L. Trevett went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2013, at the age of 81 in his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 16, 1932, in Chaumont, N.Y.

Hiram graduated from Adams High School in New York in June 1951 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in July 1951. During his 20 years of service he was a recipient of several awards. In his retirement years, he owned/managed several Exxon service stations for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; their children, Barbara Fandel and husband Mike of West Virginia, Michael Trevett of San Antonio, Ronald Trevett and wife Teresa of Floresville, and Carol Elsner and husband Greg of Colorado; his sister, Evelyn Sinclair of New York state; brothers Donald Trevett of New York state and Dr. Douglas Trevett Barnard of Arizona; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Friday, July 5, at 10 a.m. in the Castle Ridge Mortuary in San Antonio.

Interment with military honors was held on Friday at 2:45 p.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice of San Antonio, 5430 Fredericksburg Road, San Antonio, TX 78229.
