SEGUIN -- The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Backyard Basics program “Thrilling Grilling: Taming the Flame” will be held Friday, July 26, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Texas Agricultural Education and Heritage Center, located at 390 Cordova Road in Seguin.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and lunch is included. Sessions will include selecting cuts of meats and marinades, as well as how to grill beef, pork, chicken, fish, and vegetables.

“There also will be an opportunity to learn to cook using a Dutch oven,” said Charla Bading, AgriLife Extension agent for family and consumer sciences, Guadalupe County. “You’ll get some great grilling recipes and ideas at the program.”

The cost of the program is $55 per person and the registration deadline is Friday, July 19. Registration and checks made out to Guadalupe County Extension Office can be mailed or dropped off. The mailing address is 210 E. Live Oak, Seguin, TX 78155.
