Don’t forget to save the date and get ready to have a great time at the Floresville Opry on Thursday, Aug. 1, in the Floresville Event Center at 600 S.H. 97 W. in Floresville. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Attendees won’t sit still long as a jam-packed list of talented musicians and singers will get the crowd on its feet. Featured performers will include Clifton Jansky, Bill Barrington, Sally Carlson, Jim Fischer, Conrad Gonzales, Kenny Penny, Julia Weaver, and house band “Playin’ to Win.”

Enjoy a chicken fried chicken dinner served by Werner’s Catering for an additional $7, followed by an evening of dancing, door prizes, a silent auction, and concessions.

General admission tickets are $7 each and can be purchased at the Wilson County News office or the Sam Fore Jr. Wilson County Public Library. Reserved tables that seat 10 will be available for $100 each. All proceeds will benefit the Wilson County Historical Society. For information or to reserve a table, call Viola Henke at 830-393-6512.
