FLORESVILLE -- Despite a two-hour rain delay, the Knights of Columbus St. Ann’s Council No. 12208 held its 15th annual scholarship golf tournament at River Bend Golf Club June 30.

The 8:30 a.m. start time was delayed by heavy rains and winds, which kept golfers indoors until after 10 a.m. It was quite wet by the time they took to the course, but everyone hung in until the end.

In the end, the team of Andrew Wade, Tony Moczygemba, Jacob Cartwright, and Marcial Mendoza finished first. Tied for second were the teams of Frank Martinez, Steve Cartwright, Nathan Cartwright, and Ryan Bennett; and Michael Griffin, Rich Bierschwal, Greg Bennett, and Richard Flores. Rounding out third place was the team of Jerome Galm, Darren Jupe, Mike Jupe, and Mark Jupe.

For more information on the tournament, or to help with a donation, call Don Shaw at 830-947-0168 or Mike McMahon at 210-649-4178.
