Members of the Sutherland Springs Volunteer Fire Department, along with members of the New Berlin, Stockdale, and La Vernia fire departments, are working now to save what they can as this fire rages through a hay barn on C Road in Sutherland Springs. The barn, a complete loss, according to Mike Abbott with the Sutherland Springs VFD, contains approximately 9,600 small square bales and 350 round bales of hay. Firefighters continue to battle the blaze.
