1951-2013

C. Bruce Nichols Jr., 62, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on Feb. 14, 1951, in Lubbock to Geraldine and Carroll Bruce Nichols Sr.

He was a loving husband to Paula Nichols, and incredible dad to Cara and Emily Nichols. Bruce was also a cherished brother and son. Bruce was an avid moviegoer and loved to spend his Sundays at the movie theater. For the past 31 years he was part of a hunting group that got together for their annual hunting trip. He loved growing tomatoes and peppers in the back yard and making his world-famous salsa. He especially loved spending time at home with his family. Bruce was a very special man who was a part of many lives. He will be greatly missed, said his family.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Bruce Nichols Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Nichols; daughters Cara Nichols and Emily Nichols; his brothers, Mike Nichols and Tony Nichols; his sister, Beverly Nichols; his mother, Geraldine Cooper; his stepfather, Coy Cooper; and his dog, Lucy.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 16, from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Porter Loring North Chapel in San Antonio.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel.
