Stockdale News: Chamber extends gratitude to all
News from Stockdale Blue Bonnet Club
Jubilee 2013 has come and gone and already it’s time to start preparing for next year! We are so proud of the accomplishments made during this year’s festival, realizing that none of it would have been possible without the selfless help of our volunteers and sponsors.
Thank you to all of the volunteers and sponsors, as well as to our guests at the Jubilee. Another thank you goes out to the Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services for their assistance with parking for our guests and volunteers during the weekend. These two organizations, along with the city of Stockdale, help tremendously with Jubilee each and every year, and we are truly grateful for all of their efforts.
And last, but certainly not least, thank you to all of the other directors on our board for the immeasurable amount of time spent away from family and friends over the past year and during Jubilee weekend. Our Jubilee is where it stands today because of the hard work of many like this who model a life of service to our community, and whose contributions are often taken for granted.
With all of our successes, we realize that no event is perfect, and as always, we value constructive feedback and ideas for possible improvements. If you would like to become more involved with our organization or have ideas for future festivals, please feel free to attend our next meeting Monday, July 29, at 7 p.m. in the offices of the Stockdale Economic Development Corp. Hope to see you there.
