Mr. and Mrs. I. “Pete” Sczepanik of Panna Maria, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. James Brysch of Hobson are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Emily Grace Sczepanik and Joseph Ray Brysch.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ignatz Sczepanik Sr., formerly of Gillett, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Lambert, formerly of Canada and Nixon, Texas.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brysch, formerly of Panna Maria, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Mutz, formerly of Hobson.

Emily, a 2008 graduate of Karnes City High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2011 and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Pharmacy at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy.

Joseph, a 2006 graduate of Falls City High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2011 and is currently employed as a software developer at USAA in San Antonio.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa, Texas, with the reception following in the Cestohowa Hall.
