1956-2013

Kimberly Ann Talley, 56, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Kimberly was born in Texas City July 11, 1956, to Robert and Darla Heil.

She was raised in Nixon, Texas, where she met her husband, Jay Talley, in the first grade. Kim and Jay grew up together, were high school sweethearts, and got married July 26, 1975. They have been best friends for more than 40 years. They moved to San Antonio, where they raised four children together. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from Angelo State University and was an exceptionally talented and devoted elementary school teacher for 22 years. She taught gifted and talented children, and most recently, was a Special Education Teacher at Frost Elementary School in Richmond. She was an enthusiastic and committed teacher who devoted her life to others and made a difference in all the lives she touched.

She was also a talented and creative artist, drawing cherished portraits for many families throughout the years. She loved literature and history and was a creative storyteller and writer. But above all else, Kim loved her family She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother, who always put the needs of others before her own. Kim’s life revolved around her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her five grandchildren. She was excited about the upcoming arrival of a new grandson this August.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Talley; her children, Jayson Talley, Leslie Jasken, Lindsay Worley, and Laura Talley; her grandchildren, Tayloranne, Leah, Law, Elisabeth, and Kimberly Layne; and her siblings, Kathryn Holman and Frank Heil.
