Family gathered in the home of Harry Rider of Floresville -- in person and via technology -- to wish him a happy 95th birthday on July 13, 2013,one day early. A total of 19 family members attended.

Joining in the fun were his three children, Wayne Rider of Dallas, Jayne Prenoveau of Palestine, and Camille Ingram of Floresville; grandchildren David Rider and wife Jodi of Richmond, William Fish and wife Leslie of Sugar Land, Chris Rider and wife April of Round Rock, Drew Rider and girlfriend Tiffany Hintzman of Houston, and Rebecca Garza and husband Chris of Kyle. Grandson Mike Rider joined the group via Facetime from South Korea, while granddaughters Megan Yahr of Seattle and Jennifer Ingram of Dallas chimed in by telephone. Great-grandchildren Haleigh and Haden Rider, Maddie and Isabella Fish, Owen Rider, and Ava Garza added a fourth generation to the lineup.

Harry has nine grandchildren, with one deceased, and 10 great-grandchildren.
