The Sam Fore Jr. Wilson County Public Library held its third annual Ice Cream Freeze-Off on July 13, and is happy to announce it’s growing bigger every year.

With 13 different ice cream flavor entries to include Milky Way, Mango Raspberry Swirl, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Almond Chocolate, Big Red, Graham Cracker, Cake Batter, Easy Cocoa Ice Cream, Peppermint, Blueberry Vanilla, Cherry Pie Almond Crumble, and Cake Ice Cream, it was difficult for voters to choose a favorite.

Taking first place was Anna Bell Welfel with her delicious batch of Cake Ice Cream. Second place was awarded to Kathryn Reeves with Cherry Pie Almond Crumble. Austin Coleman took third place with his recipe of Easy Cocoa Ice Cream.
