FLORESVILLE -- Cycle Ranch has had an exciting summer thus far, and the action continues well into the night thanks to the lighted track and the MotoMania racing series.

MotoMania is quickly growing, and had more than 30 percent growth in racing entries at round three. That’s a very big improvement in just one round. It seems the word is spreading, and track officials thank everyone telling others about the program Cycle Ranch has put together. Track officials say the gates are almost full in several classes, and that the racing has never been better.

Round four of MotoMania was held July 20, and the numbers continue to climb. The scoring tower is done, speakers and PA-system are tested and working, and there is even a new sponsor at the track in addition to BigTex Trailers and Robust giving away more swag and samples.

Another exciting occurrence at Cycle Ranch is the visit from Mexican champ Amir Bilson. Bilson is Mexico’s junior champion in Enduro and Supermoto, and is making his debut in the United States to race MiniMania at Cycle Ranch. This young man won several titles in 2010, 2011, and 2012, and is making the switch to motocross. In doing so, he thought Cycle Ranch would be the perfect place to do it.

Bilson had plans to race July 20 and again on Saturday, July 27 during MotoMania. Bilson comes all the way from Mexico City to test his skills against the best riders in Texas.

Bilson is sponsored by several companies including Evangers dog and cat food, Sanocan, La Cosmopolitana, AXO, Maya Leather Suits, Vitamin water, Ergy, and Smartwater. As the track continues to receive international attention, more and more of these riders will visit Cycle Ranch, furthering the progression of the sport. Riders and spectators should look out for the No. 13 on a KTM in the coming weeks.
