During a telephone conversation with the Wilson County News July 29, Joslin said he is ending his 11 years of employment with the city to pursue an opportunity in the private sector. The city manager thanked the current and previous city council for giving him the opportunity to “participate in Floresville’s positive growth pattern.”

Joslin in March 2010 was named interim city manager before The council officially hired him as city manager six months later.

The city manager’s resignation will be one of the topics the Floresville City Council addresses at its special meeting Thursday, Aug. 1.
