1967-2013

Chrysa Kay Wagenfehr Bratz, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and sister, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 26, 2013, at the age of 45 years, 8 months, and 29 days after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on Oct. 27, 1967, in San Antonio, Texas, to Adeline Viola Weber and John Wagenfehr Jr.

She was a former resident of Von Ormy and a resident of La Vernia for eight years. Chrysa did so much for others by putting their needs first. Through her work as a registered nurse and high school teacher, she impacted so many lives. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in La Vernia.

A small family gathering was held on Monday, July 29, in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

Visitation was held on Tuesday at 5 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in La Vernia.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Stanislaw Fiuk officiating.
