Blasita Cisneros Amaya of Nixon, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 20 days. She was born June 8, 1927, in Westoff to Roberto and Ramona Pena Cisneros.

She was a former resident of Robstown and a resident of Nixon for 50 years. Blasita was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Nixon.

Blasita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Juan Amaya; her son, Jose Roel Sr.; her grandson, Jose Roel Jr.; and sisters Cecilia Molina and Esiquiac Martinez.

She is survived by her children, Ramona Lara of Seguin, Aida Camarillo and husband Johnny of Floresville, Velma and husband Patricio of Nixon, Grace Bishop and husband Joel of Weston, Fla., Cindy Santos and husband Bobby of Round Rock, Hector Amaya and wife Lamar of Nixon, John Amaya and wife Beatrice of Victoria, the Rev. Rene Amaya and wife Erlinda of Nixon; her sisters, Tiodula Pedna of Smiley and Rita Santos of Weimer; her brother, Rudy Cisneros of Banquete, Texas; 30 grandchildren, 36 grand-children, five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A small family gathering was held Sunday, July 28 in Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

Visitation and a prayer service were held Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the First Baptist church in Nixon.

A funeral service was held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Rene Amaya and the Rev. Jason Page officiating.

Interment followed in the Burilla Cemetery in Smiley.

Serving as pallbearers were Andrew Amaya, Hector Amaya, Nicholas Amaya, John Erik Camarillo, Joshua Amaya, Jeffrey Aguirre, Keith Joel Bishop, Phillip Santos, Jeremy Camarillo, and Matthew Santos.
