Alicia Saenz Ramirez passed away in Poth, Texas, Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 3 days. She was born May 12, 1933, in Falls City to Pilar and Crisencia DeHoyos Saenz. She was a former resident of Houston and a resident of Poth since 1988. Alicia was a member of the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesus D. Ramirez in 2006; two sisters; and one brother.

Alicia is survived by her daughter, Elda Delgado of Poth; her sisters, Amelia Trevino of Floresville, Andrea Torres of Poth, Audelia Valadez of Poth, and Dora Hillburn of Denver City, Texas; her brothers, Lebrado Saenz of Brownsville and Alfredo Saenz of Houston; her grandchildren, Christyn Morales and Mykal Delgado; numerous nieces and nephew; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m. in the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth, with a prayer service held at 7 p.m.

A funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the Emmanuel Assembly of God Cemetery in Poth.

Serving as pallbearers were Ramiro Serna, Adolpho Serna, Ramon Serna, Elias Serna, Ruben Trevino, Joseph Morales II, Mykal Delgado, and Tony Serna.
