Novelle Reagan Mills, 92, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at 1:25 a.m. in Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to Marvin and Sadie (Adcock) Reagan on Aug. 1, 1921, in the Sunnyside Community.

Novelle married Robert Lee Mills on Sept. 8, 1938, in San Antonio. Robert, Novelle’s beloved husband of more than 60 years, preceded her in death on June 22, 1999. Novelle met Robert at a church revival. Their marriage blessed them with four children, Reagan Lee, Loretta Grace, Marvin Earl, and Sally Lorene. Those children brought 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Floresville.

Novelle was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Lee Mills; her parents; and sister Opal Reed.

She is survived by her children, Reagan Lee Mills, Loretta Grace Hartmann and husband Gene, Marvin Earl Mills and wife Lauren, and Sally Lorene Jenkins and husband David, all of Floresville; 11 grandchildren, Robert Lee Hartmann and wife Connie; David Brian Jenkins, Michael Joe Hartmann and wife Michelle, Reagan Lee Mills Jr., Bonnie Jean Walker and husband Matthew, Audra Dee Stuart and husband Andrew, Corey Lee Mills, Dawn Rae Hartmann Pena and husband Jeff, Holly Christine Gardner and husband Michael, Kyle Marvin Mills, and Bryan Talley Mills and wife Brooke; 20 great-grandchildren, Dane Christopher Retzloff, Brittany Taylor Hastings and husband Lee, Nissa Lee Mills, Erica Krystine Hartmann, Madeline Shane Walker, Andrew Thomas Stuart Jr., Macee Miranda Trevino, Jamie Lee Hartmann, Madison Johanna Hartmann, Bethanie Lorene Stuart, Jody Devin Trevino, Reagan Lee Mills III, McKade Pearce Hartmann, Maverick Reese Walker, Maddox Redmond Hartmann, Hudson Michael Gardner, Hagen Lee Stuart, Cullen Mills Gardner, and Brynna Grayce and Bayler Layne Mills; three great-great-grandchildren, Emma Krystine Steele, Britlee Grace Hastings, and Gunner Yates Stuart; her sister, Laverne Currlin; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 5 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the church officiated by the Rev. Mark Briggs. Interment followed in the Marcelina Cemetery in Wilson County, Texas. Serving as pallbearers were Novelle’s grandsons, Lee Hartmann, Michael Hartmann, Corey Mills, Bryan Mills, Brian Jenkins, Reagan Mills Jr., and Kyle Mills.
