FLORESVILLE -- Two suspects in two separate burglaries here have been arrested and are being held in the Wilson County Jail.
Delia Marie Guerrero, 32, of Floresville was arrested Aug. 10 by Patrolman Matthew Redd of the Floresville Police Department. Guerrero was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the department, alleging that she was the accomplice in an Aug. 2 burglary of a home near the corner of Fourth and Peach streets. (See “Tipster aids police in burglary arrest,” Aug. 7.)
According to Floresville police Detective George Ortiz, Redd was on evening patrol near the corner of Trail and Third streets when he observed Guerrero and placed her under arrest. When officers searched Guerrero, they found various credit cards and checkbooks -- none of which belonged to the suspect.
According to jail records, Guerrero is being held on $10,000 bond.
In an unrelated incident, an alleged accomplice in a June 29 burglary of a home on Plum Street was arrested Aug. 13 by Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Emanuel Fultz. Jail records indicate that Levi Allen Dunn, 17, of Karnes City was arrested at the sheriff’s office in Floresville and that he is being held on $12,000 bond. He was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the Floresville Police Department, which alleged that he and another suspect stole various items from the home. (See “Police issue warrant for Karnes City teen, July 17.)
Floresville police seek the public’s help in solving another unrelated burglary of a vacant home near the corner of Fourth and Peach streets, which was reported Aug. 6. Ortiz said three Whirlpool 10,000 BTU window-unit air conditioners were removed from windows on the home. Each unit is valued at $450.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Floresville Police Department at 830-393-4055.
