Welcome to another fabulous year at the Stockdale Independent School District (ISD)! School year 2013-14 will be over before you know it! School begins Monday, Aug. 26, so please be careful in and around our town. Buses will be running very early to get a feel for the routes. We cannot wait for a new and exciting year!

2012-13 teachers of the year at Stockdale ISD are:

•Stockdale Elementary School - Beverly Hummel

•Stockdale Junior High School - Daphe Gordon

•Stockdale High School - Josh Heimann

Congratulations to these fine teachers. We are very proud of you. Keep up the good work!

Volleyball, cross country, football, and band practices are in full swing. We are looking forward to a great year from all clubs and activities for the upcoming 2013-14 school year.

Stockdale ISD will be having an auction of surplus inventory on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the old food court building. There will be numerous items for sale. Please come by and look at what we are selling. You can see the ad in the classified section of the paper if you would like to have an idea of the items up for sale.

Paul Darilek is the superintendent of the Stockdale Independent School District.
